Friday 20th May 2022
Clownfish has had a fantastic week! They loved sports day on Thursday and had such fun with their races. In English they wrote diary entries pretending they were Jack from the story `Jack and the Beanstalk'. In scientific discipline they learnt to label parts of the establish and talk about their part.
Friday 13th May 2022
This week Clownfish form have been learning about writing diaries. They are in the process of writing their bean diary in scientific discipline and writing about what they do during the week in English. In RE they listened to the story Jesus told called `The Skillful Samaritans' and acted out the story using puppets in pocket-sized groups.
Fri sixth May 2022
This week Clownfish class take been writing an acrostic poem almost different fruit using describing words. In science they went for a walk to look for and name wild flowers. In Mathematics they accept been learning to double numbers and solve mathematical issues.
Friday 29th April 2022
This week we accept planted our own bean seed in some soil and we are watering it daily. Nosotros have been learning nearly acrostic poems and have do writing our own on whiteboards. In DT nosotros take tasted different fruit and designed our own fruit salad. Yum!

Clownfish class loved their trip to Barleylands on Tuesday. They learnt near farm animals and fed some goats. They as well learn almost crop farming and how wheat is grown and used to produced different food east.thou. cereals, bread, pasta etc. In mathematics the children were weighing different items and comparing their weight. They used nonstandard units of measures due east.g. multilink cubes to measure the weight of unlike items.

This week we evaluated our DT vehicles nosotros fabricated with wheels and axles. In English we finished writing our nonfiction books about wheeled modes of transport and added a contents folio. Nosotros went on a Bound walk in science to observe the signs of spring. Have a lovely Easter holidays and see you before long.

It has been a very busy week in Clownfish class. We loved our scooter day on Monday. We accept been writing non-fiction books about scooters in English. In science we accept been investigating which materials are absorbent. In mathematics nosotros have been measuring different objects using a centimetre ruler.
Friday 18th March 2022
The children have been using Rekenreks during mathematics fluency sessions with their learning partner. In DT nosotros have been painting boxes to make wheeled vehicles. We have been predicting and investigating the absorbency of different materials in Science.
Friday 11th March 2022
This calendar week Clownfish take written their own story almost `Mr Gumpy's Outing' based on the book past John Burningham. They accept worked extremely hard! They have edited and assessed their own writing. In PE the children have used bean bags to residuum on dissimilar trunk parts and practised throwing the beanbags onto a target.

This calendar week nosotros accept been creating long boats in History every bit nosotros take been learning about the Vikings. In PE we have been developing our ball control. We practised dribbling, bouncing and rolling the ball. In mathematics we have been learning tens and ones with numbers to 50.
Friday 25th February 2022
We absolutely loved our transport tour on the double decker bus around our local area. Nosotros spotted many different forms of transport and created a tally with our learning partner. In English nosotros have been describing characters from the book 'Mr Gumpy's Outing'. In PE nosotros have been developing our ball skills.
Friday 11th February 2022
This week we have written our kite instructions in English and flew our kites in Library Gardens. Nosotros looked at natural and human made objects nosotros found on the beach. We have practised some mindfulness activities in PSHE to help u.s.a. calm our minds.

In gymnastics we take been practising rolling our bodies and completing a forrard roll. In our phonic session nosotros are reading and writing words with the aw/ au/ al digraph. We enjoyed our science investigation this calendar week. We used a hair drier to help the states work out which material would be the best material for our kites.

We take been learning virtually the Chinese New year's day and listened to the Chinese New Year story. We looked at the changes from h2o to a frozen solid back to liquid. In English we have been writing a fact file about dissimilar types of atmospheric condition.

This week in gymnastics we have been making different trunk shapes eg pike and tuck. Nosotros besides worked with our learning partner to create different letter shapes. In English an conflicting chosen Dill visited u.s. on Tuesday asking for our help as he doesn't know about the atmospheric condition we take on Earth. We found conditions facts in non-fiction books. In outdoor learning nosotros learnt about clouds with Mrs Chocolate-brown.

This calendar week we have been looking at various artists art piece of work which stand for unlike types of weather, with our learning partners. We also sorted different materials in science and labelled them. In English language nosotros equanimous our own winter poem using adjectives and verbs.

Clownfish accept been practising singing their Christmas songs this week. In English language we accept been learning to write instructions to wrap presents, for Father Christmas to share with his elves, as his master wrapping elf is elf-isolating!

In dance we have been moving similar toys eg an aeroplane, a robot or a boisterous ball. In English we have been identifying the features of instructions and writing elementary instructions how to wash our easily. In mathematics we have been comparison addition and subtraction number sentences.

In English we have written our own stories nearly a lost toy. Nosotros wrote the first of the story, build-upward, problem, resolution and catastrophe. We were extremely proud of ourselves and shared our story with a friend in year i.

This week we have been using a variety of strategies to subtract in our power Maths sessions. In science we have been experiencing the four different seasons using 'At present Press Play' using the ear phones. In English nosotros accept been creating our own story map based on the story 'Dogger'.

In science we have been observing the changes in the tree in foundation playground and discussing the clothes we wear this fourth dimension of year. In PSHE we have been discussing the similarities and differences between ourselves and our friend. In trip the light fantastic toe we were moving in a variety of ways to correspond autumn trees and leaves falling to the ground.

We enjoyed our walk to library gardens to observe the signs of autumn, this helped us write our autumn poem. In RE we have learnt about the Hindu festival Diwali and created some lovely Rangoli patterns. In DT we have explored making secure structures using different construction equipment.

Nosotros have been stretching in our yoga session this calendar week. We have been practising travelling in different means and jumping in our PE session on Tuesday. We accept been working hard on using our cursive script when writing in English language.

Clownfish Class have been exploring their senses in scientific discipline. They have been using the function whole model to brand unlike totals. They take also been balancing in their gymnastic session this week.

We have practised jumping off various apparatus during our gymnastics session. In English we have been writing thank y'all messages to the firefighter from terminal week. In art we accept been colour mixing to create our skin tone for our self portraits.

Clownfish class have practised jumping on and off the apparatus in gymnastics this week. In English they accept been writing questions to inquire a fireman. In fine art they were inspired by the creative person Picasso to create portraits.

We have been identifying different animals in Science eg mammals, birds, fish etc. We take been writing lists in English, remembering to employ our phonic skills. We have been learning to roll our bodies in gymnastics.
Calendar week starting time twelfth Apr 2021
We accept had an exciting calendar week back at school. We take learnt about growth mindsets, friendships, growing plants and exploring 'Now printing play' about plants. We had a fantastic sports mean solar day and participated in many fun races.

The children have worked super hard on their stories this week. They planned their own story based on 'Fidgety Fish' and wrote their own stories. They all had a clear beginning, middle and end to their amazing stories.

We looked for signs of spring in the playground and gardens. We saw buds, bloom, daffodils, bluebells and dandelions. Nosotros wrote about what we saw when we were back in the classroom.

Clownfish loved Science week and participated in many investigations. They fabricated a cloud in a jar, built the tallest tower using cups, built bridges and fabricated a rainbow using skittle sweets.

Clownfish accept had a festive calendar week making Christmas decorations, making Christmas hats, eating Christmas dinner and writing instructions how to wrap a Christmas present for the elves.

In English we take been listening and reading instructions. In Maths nosotros have been learning addition and subtraction number facts. Every Friday we relish our yoga and meditation.

In Clownfish form we have been learning well-nigh the sessions in science. We worked collaboratively every bit a team and produced some amazing piece of work. We were super proud of ourselves.

Nosotros have worked super hard in our phonic sessions this calendar week. In Maths we have been recognising and describing 2nd shapes. In English we have been learning about prepositions including behind, under, abreast, in and below.

This week in design and engineering science we have designed a den for a little teddy conduct. Nosotros have talked nearly 'Remembrance 24-hour interval' and made poppies. We remembered the brave soldiers at 11am on 11th Nov 2020.

Clownfish class went for an Autumn walk around the school and described what they saw. They then wrote an Fall poem using many adjectives.

Clownfish have been working difficult in phonics and writing words containing 'ur' and 'er'. They accept created self portraits in art and written stories based on 'Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see'.
Monday twelfth October 2020 – Fri 16th Oct 2020
Nosotros have had a lovely week. We take labelled beast torso parts in science and discussed the qualities of a good friend in PSHE. In yoga we accept worked on our breathing technique and practised stretching our bodies.
Monday 5th October 2020 – Friday ninth October 2020
Clownfish spoke to a md via zoom this week who helped Olaf who wasn't feeling well. We then wrote letters to Olaf telling him what advice the md gave. In science nosotros were sorting animals into unlike categories. In art nosotros were mixing paint to friction match to different skin tones.
Monday 28th September 2020 – Friday 2nd October 2020
Clownfish have explored their senses in science and color mixing in art. We also wrote questions for the firewoman on zoom and wrote downwardly his answers in sentences. Nosotros have been developing our love for writing and using unlike resources.
Monday 21st September 2020 – Friday 25th September 2020
This week we have used a ICT programme about `People who help us'. We had an exciting zoom meeting with a police officeholder who explained how he helps people and about the equipment he uses in his job. We also loved playing music using various musical instruments.
Monday 14th September 2020 – Friday 18th September 2020
We take had a great week sorting objects and writing numbers in Mathematics. We have been practising forming our alphabetic character correctly and writing lists in English. In fine art nosotros take been looking at famous artists work and cartoon optics in our sketch book.

Thursday tertiary September 2020 – Friday 4th September 2020
The children have settled into Year 1 rapidly and have adapted to the new schoolhouse routines well. We saw lots of happy faces on Thursday and nosotros wait forward to working with you lot all this year.

Monday viith September 2020 – Friday 11th September 2020
We have had a fantastic week filled with exciting things. We have started pond this week in schoolhouse, did some yoga, written almost our holidays, learnt well-nigh rock pools, practised using our phonics in both reading and writing.
